Mayflower Beach is on Cape Cod Bay in Dennis and is great for people of all ages. Children will enjoy the many shallow pools created at low tide, while parents will enjoy the serenity of the a calm beach. Among the most scenic of Dennis’ 16 beaches, it features a boardwalk that stretches from the large parking lot over the dunes to the beach below. This is a favorite spot for families. Mayflower Beach reveals hundreds of feet of tidal flats at low tide., has lifeguards, a snack bar, restrooms and a flat rate parking fee of $30 per day. Chapin Beach, next to Mayflower Beach is also a wonderful spot to spend the day. Flat rate parking fee of $30 a day - small parking lot fills up early.
Corporation Beach - Dennis - Crescent-shaped Corporation Beach, hugging Cape Cod Bay, is a popular spot on hot summer days. The curve of the beach forms a tidal pool that’s perfect for children. The warm, calm bay water is great for swimming at high tide. At low tide, the water recedes and reveals huge flats great for exploring and walking. It is near Sesuit Harbor, and beachgoers can pass the day watching pleasure boats sail the bay. Corporation is popular with children and their families, especially during low tide. Disabled accessible. Play area. Warm, calm water. Swing set.
Grays Beach - Yarmouth Port - A long boardwalk takes you over a salt marsh to the beach. Bass Hole (aka Grays Beach) is a great spot to explore wildlife and let kids be kids. Low tide draws out much of the water leaving behind calm tide pools for the youngest of beach-goers to splash around in. There is a pavilion, parking lot, restrooms, a boardwalk, picnic area and access to a nature trail.
Seagull Beach - Yarmouth's largest saltwater beach features a bathhouse, shower, concession stand & a large parking lot. The water is fairly calm, making it great for a relaxing dip, and the sand is clean and soft, perfect for sunbathers.
Scargo Lake - Dennis swimming spot is absolutely beautiful. Princess Beach is the primary swimming area. Princess Beach is located off of Scargo Hill Road (which is off of Old Bass River Road). To park, you need a sticker, although there is an attendant who collects the parking fee.
Flax Pond - Dennis - This pond has a parking area located off of Setucket Road in Dennis, right before the Yarmouth line. There is no sticker needed and the area is dog-friendly. There is even a rope swing! To get to the pond, you will need to walk (about 5 minutes) and there are trails around the pond, so you can go for a walk and cool off with a dip.
Sandy Pond - Yarmouth - Located at 482 Buck Island Road in Yarmouth, across from the Park Department, is the Sandy Pond Recreation Area. Not only is there swimming, but there is also a playground, tennis courts, a basketball court, and more. None of the ponds require a sticker in Yarmouth.
